About Mitchel Federan

Ohio-native Mitchel Federan is an accomplished teacher, choreographer, dancer, actor, and singer. He has studied in a multitude of genres including Contemporary, Tap, Jazz, Lyrical, Hip Hop, Modern, Contemporary, Ballet, and Acrobatics.

His theatrical credits include the National Tour of Annie Get Your Gun (Starring Marilu Henner and Rex Smith), The Music Man on Broadway (Starring Rebecca Luker and Robert Sean Leonard), and The Boy From Oz on Broadway, which he starred in opposite Hugh Jackman. Mitchel’s television credits include a recurring role on ABC’s All My Children and appearances on 8 Simple Rules, The Middle, The Macy’s Day Parade, The Tony Awards, and Good Morning America.

Mitchel was nominated for two “Outstanding Featured Actor in a Musical” Awards and won a Theatre World Award for “Best Broadway Debut”.

In Los Angeles, Mitchel was a Company Member of Jaci Royal’s Royal Flux and Ryan Lohoff’s Rithem Dance Company. He has been a main assistant to Brian Friedman, Mia Michaels, and Jaci Royal, assisting them on numerous jobs including So You Think You Can Dance. He has worked with Ryan Heffington and appeared in the film Valley Girl, choreographed by Mandy Moore.

Mitchel held a consistent class slot at Edge Performing Arts Center for multiple years and also taught classes at TMilly TV and the IAF Compound. He was a 2018 & 2020 Capezio A.C.E. Awards Finalist and has since started his own dance company, Mayhem Dance Fusion.
