About Jacquelyn Sutkowi
Tour Manager, Broadway Babies, Musical Theater
At the age of 10, Jacquelyn began her professional dance career at Disneyland which opened the doors for years of performing for the Disney Company. She grew up singing and dancing with theater companies, training and performing at Jimmie Defore Dance Center, as well as Orange County School of the Arts.
Jacquelyn received a BFA in Dance Performance from Chapman University with a Minor in Communication Studies. Extensively trained as a contemporary jazz dancer and choreographer, she performed at events such as the Jazz Dance World Congress, American College Dance Festival, Long Beach Grand Prix, Orange County Performing Arts Center, Sean Greene Dance Company and The Carnival. In addition to live stage, Jacquelyn worked on television shows and commercials on MTV, SiTV and many music videos.
Jacquelyn then experienced the dance industry from a Dance Agent’s point of view. Beginning as an internship based purely on curiosity, she discovered that becoming a Dance and Talent Agent at DDO Artists Agency was the next stop on the map of her career. With years of performance experience and an education in dance, it was a perfect outlet to share her knowledge and guide young talent while pursuing their dreams of dancing professionally. She helped launch the careers of countless dancers, choreographers, models, singers, actors and stunt performers from across the country. Her former talent can be seen on TV, Feature Films, Commercials, Artist Tours and Music Videos including GLEE, Nike, Adidas, the High School Musical Films, The Disney Channel, Nickelodeon, Campaigns for GAP, Old Navy, Sears, SYTYCD, DWTS, Wicked on Broadway, Britney Spears, Taylor Swift, Spice Girls, just to name a few!
Experience as a Talent Agent allows Jacquelyn to bring a unique perspective on dance into the classroom. Her focus is on training, preparing and motivating dancers during their transition into professional careers and/or college. As an International Dance Educator, she lectures on the Realities of the Commercial Dance Industry, alongside Mock Commercial Jazz Audition Workshops, in order to provide young dancers with the necessary tools and information to confidently approach the professional world. Jacquelyn also choreographs award winning studio competition routines, with the intentions of creating memorable entertainers that are ready to work in the industry! She loves traveling as General Manager and Faculty for Hollywood Connection Dance Convention. Jacquelyn is going into her 18th season touring with HC!
Jacquelyn is also a Breast Cancer Survivor. She was featured as a dancer and cancer warrior in Daddy Yankee’s Latin American Music Awards performance directed by Liz Imperio, “Yo Contra Ti.” Her most important job yet though, is being a Mother to her son Beckham!
