About Lora Pavilack
Enhanced Performance & Recovery for Dancers
Lora has been passionately dancing since the age of three, and her journey as a professional dancer led her to perform as a Radio City Rockette in New York City for nine years. Throughout her career, she maintained a focus on posture and alignment, which not only kept her injury-free but also enabled her to deliver flawless performances in numerous global musicals. Her commitment to body awareness was key to her longevity in the industry.
While still performing, Lora began studying the Pilates method, which soon became central to her practice and teaching. She became a master teacher in Pilates through Pilates Sports Center, and earned certifications in a range of body-balancing disciplines, including GYROTONIC®, GYROKINESIS®, the Franklin Method, RedCord, Roll Model Method and DaVinci BodyBoard.
In 2004, Lora co-founded Pilates Studio City and, alongside Nikki Alstedter, went on to co-own three additional studios in Los Angeles and Pilates South Austin in Texas. Together, they co-authored the Pain-Free Posture Handbook, published in 2016. Since then, Lora has helped thousands of people improve their posture, strength, and overall well-being.
A lifelong advocate of balance in all aspects of life, Lora applies her Pilates principles to her love of surfing, hiking, skiing, and family life with her two children. Her mission is to empower others to live pain-free, vibrant lives, standing tall and enjoying each day to its fullest.
